Segway’s New UTV Has More Tech Features Than My Daily Driver

The Segway UT6 is touted as a versatile, side-by-side worth its salt in both work and play. The automaker boasts that the UT6 has been constructed with a focus on unmatched performance, safety, and technology. Remarking on its impressive technical specifications, the UT6 seems more than capable of meeting such lofty claims.
In fact, if you proceed with all the advanced features, it's almost like driving a modern 4x4 car in the wilderness. However, before we get into the fancy aspects, let's take a closer look at the fundamentals of this vehicle first.
First let's start with the UT6's engine, which is a 600cc single-cylinder engine that produces approximately 44 horsepower, a performance level comparable to other UTVs currently available. The UT6 rides on a suspension travel of up to 12.5 inches, equipped with dual A-arm front suspension and dual A-arm independent rear suspension to ensure optimal contact between the four wheels and the ground.
The UT6 model can handle a substantial load given its capabilities. According to Segway, it can pull up to 2,500 pounds of items and carry up to 1,328 pounds of cargo, with the bed accommodating 1,000 pounds of cargo. The M and P premium models are even equipped with a 4,500-pound winch, allowing you to recover from difficult situations.
While all that's impressive, it's what's on the inside that makes it really exciting. You see, the top-of-the-line UT6 P comes with an enormous 10.4-inch Smart Touchscreen infotainment system, boasting a plethora of features that would make my new Toyota Hilux jealous. It features a Smart Moving App, and easy Bluetooth smartphone pairing, allowing you to enjoy your favourite music, whether at the office or campsite.
For a more thrilling experience, you can choose to ride in an enclosed cabin featuring operational windshield wipers and heating system to keep you dry and warm during winter trail explorations.
