West Bromwich Albion supporters have had their festive season made gloomy by the news that Carlos Corberan will be leaving the club halfway through the season.

Corberan, who had previously held coaching roles at Leeds United under Marcelo Bielsa and managed teams such as Huddersfield Town, Olympiacos and West Brom, takes charge of a Valencia side that currently occupies the 19th spot in LaLiga.
He grew up in Cheste, a town located in Valencia, Spain. His family still resides there. As a goalkeeper, he played youth football for Cheste and was also registered with Valencia, but he decided to transition into coaching at the young age of 23.

The European football giant Valencia have collected only 12 points from their 17 league matches so far. Their previous manager, Ruben Baraja, was relieved of his duties just on Monday.
West Brom has appointed Chris Brunt, Damia Abella and Boaz Myhill to act as interim managers temporarily until a new permanent manager is found.
West Brom will face Derby away on 26th December. Valencia will host Real Madrid on 3rd January.
