Public help needed to stem illegal dumping

Residents of Kota Kemuning have been urged to inform the authorities if they come across any instances of unauthorised dumping of waste.

Kota Kemuning assemblyman Preakas Sampunathan stated in a media statement that the members of the public should act as the authorities' extra vigilance and inform them of any suspect activities.

If there's any suspicious activity or people getting rid of waste in an unauthorised manner, kindly inform us immediately.

“Your personal data will be maintained in the strictest confidence, and we will take swift action if necessary,” he assured.

Pakhir said the phenomenon of dumping trash indiscriminately in the parliamentary constituency, particularly in Bukit Kemuning, has become a common occurrence.

Some irresponsible individuals have ruined the reputation of this area and it has caused inconvenience to the people living here.

Preakas also suggested that Shah Alam Municipal Council and Subang Jaya Municipal Council, responsible for areas within the Kota Kemuning constituency, should take legal action against the irresponsible parties.

The Residents Representative Council has also been given the responsibility to keep a close eye on areas known as "hotspots" where illegal waste dumping activities are common, he added.

We have also named a party responsible for apprehending individuals who commit these acts.

Whatsoever violators do not refrain from repeating this action, punishments of the utmost severity will be meted out.
